First, let's get some general inspirations
Calendar View
From the top viewport, a big calendar is adopted to show the general distribution of electricity consumption in New York State from November, 2017 to October, 2018 with labels of the month and the day of week.
Size
We use to represent each day. Meanwhile, the size of the dots shows the electricity consumption of the day.
Colors
Different colors are used to label different typical types:
HOT DAY
COLD DAY
HOLIDAY
EVENT
WEEKEND
NORMAL DAY
Human vs Nature
While there's no winner in electricity consumption, we should be aware of the change in electricity patterns and try our best to save energy. Moreover, it will help establishing a wiser electricity policy based on these patterns.
